Feeling stuck? 5 ways to get back on track with your 2022 goals

It’s time to make like High School Musical and get'cha head in the game. 

 

Though unlike a deliciously cheesy throwback, there’s no denying that life has been overwhelming for a lot of us this year. 


With SO much going on, it’s only natural for goals to slowly fade into the background and leave us feeling a bit defeated—BUT we’re here with the great news that you can get back on track and start feeling like your fabulous self once again! 


If you’re not sure how to get back to kicking your goals for 2022, try the following 5 steps: 

 

Recall and review your intentions 

It’s time to take a step back and reflect on your goals and intentions. If you genuinely feel that your original goals aren’t going to benefit you anymore, now is the time to make some changes. 

Or if you’re still happy with your initial goals, remind yourself why you set them—why they’ll benefit you, why you deserve to achieve them. 

Let this step give you the clarity you need to move forward. 

 
Let go of your guilt 

Something hanging over your head could be our old frenemie, guilt. If you’re feeling guilty for those goals falling off the radar, PLEASE remember that it’s not your fault. 

Life happens, things can get us down and out and by no means should you feel worse than you already do for something beyond your control. 

Once you’re able to let go of those gross feelings, you can get back to a good mindset and continue on strong!

 

Time to plan!

This is arguably our favourite part (surprise, surprise)! Now, you need to figure out how you can realistically and comfortably achieve your goals.

Make some lists, break down your actionables into achievable steps and get ready to bring your plan to life.

Remember: if you’re already feeling overwhelmed, don’t try and take on too much too soon. Slow and steady will still win you that race! 

 

Schedule your plans back into your life 

Once you have your plan sorted, whip out your calendar and weekly planner to pencil them in! 

Whether you block out some time each day to work towards your goals or spread out some actionables across the week, by putting your plan to paper you can hold yourself accountable and work your goals into your everyday routine.

It will become second nature in no time at all! 

 

Get an accountability partner 

If you feel like you’ll need extra help to stay accountable in these early days, don’t be afraid to reach out!

Ask a friend or loved one to check in with you each day to make sure you’re sticking to your plan until you feel comfortable enough to keep going on your own.
