We are ALL guilty - and it’s about time we stop. It is energy we are wasting on self-loathing when it could be spent on self-love.
The truth is, pictures can be photoshopped & airbrushed, and certain poses can completely change the way a person looks! When we compare ourselves to Instagram Influencers or models on the cover of a magazine we are choosing to idolize and obsess over something that may not be obtainable. And remember, the majority of people are likely to only show the “highlight reel” on social media, not the mundane, the messy, the failures.
Daily affirmations are a good way to wave goodbye to all the negative thoughts you feed your mind, body and soul - stand in front of your mirror each morning and say “I am beautifully and wonderfully made. I lead an amazing, fulfilling life.”
When you invest your energy into self-love, you will find an abundance of happiness.
Just because you graduate high school doesn’t mean you should stop learning.
Learning doesn’t necessarily mean reading history books or solving difficult maths equations - keeping updated on current events is learning, getting to know someone is learning.
We should learn new things because it keeps us engaged in the world - it also allows us to expand our intelligence, making for better conversations.

One of the most important aspects of self-development is letting go of the past and choosing to move forward.
Unfortunately, time machine’s don’t exist yet, so we can’t go back in time and fix our mistakes or do things differently - so why do we spend so much time obsessing over things that have happened in the past, or people who have wronged us in the past?
Picture running on a treadmill - no matter how hard or fast you run, you never get anywhere.
This is the same as holding onto the past - It doesn’t benefit us in any way, nor does it promote self-development.
When you choose to let go, you will be able to put your energy into the present, and things that will impact your future!
